Abstract. The paper justifies the role of goal-setting activities in formation of cognitive professional activity of future teachers-psychologists; reveals the essence of teaching goal setting; analyzes the stages of goal setting of future teachers-psychologists; discloses the contents of main concepts; identifies key components of goal-setting in process of formation of cognitive professional activity of future educational psychologists.
