Formation of Regional Identity of Gymnasium Students and Problems of Its Research

Abstract. Formation of regional identity of teenagers and young people is regarded as one of the conditions of de-veloping territories of the Russian Federation. The article explains the role of local history as a resource for the formation of civic identity; it analyzes the structural components of regional identity: cognitive, emotion-al and evaluative (axiological), and behavioral. The authors discuss possibilities of additional educational programmes "Literature of the Vyatka region", "History of the Vyatka region", "The nature of the Vyatka re-gion", "The Art of the Vyatka region". The modified questionnaire is offered to determine the level of for-mation of students’ regional identity.
