Abstract. The article deals with the concept of tourism, its main classifications, and the possibility of using specific types of tourism in Tula region. It is quite interesting and relevant for Tula region. The potential of the region in the field of tourism is analyzed. The importance of tourism development in Tula region for the region's economy is justified.
