The paper deals with the position of Russia in the world trade. The role of foreign trade in Russian economy is considered, the laws of its development are determined and the geography of Russian Federation foreign relations are studied.

The article is devoted to the study of factors affecting the maintenance of effective export operations of industrial enterprises under the conditions of modern economic international relations. The key problems hindering the development of exports, the economic feasibility of its improvement, the peculiarities of formation and implementation of export strategies of entering new international markets are described in the work.
