Pedagogical support of children's public associations is an important factor in the effective realization of their social and educational potential. Pedagogical support as a continuous process that requires periodic analysis to gauge the quality level and appropriate adjustments. Such activities will be more effective if will be proactive and based on forecasting the needs of the existing children's public associations at the municipal level and the social movements of the city and the region as a whole.

The objective of the article: to reveal the essence of the activities of children's public associations, to study and to structure information on the functions and objectives of children's public associations, about features, activities, the types of children's public associations of different levels, to show the similarities and differences of types of children's public associations in order to systematize the knowledge to identify characteristics and specifics of children's public associations as a pedagogical problem.
