In article results of the short analysis of application of the 100-mark rating scale of knowledge implemented in the REU Tula branch of G. V. Plekhanov since 2011 are provided. The analysis was carried out from the point of view of reliability of expert evaluations for the purpose of its increase. As statistical material results of the current and intermediate certification of students on disciplines of a natural-science cycle were used.

The paper is devoted some problems of an estimation of a share of an indication in a universe on the basis of the alternative data or to a discriminant analysis special case. The solution of the given problem allows to divide set of plants on two groups according to an estimation of a share of an indication. The offered method developed on the fundamentals Bayes’ approach, allows to raise exactitude and reliability of separation of set of plants that is of great importance at economic and social researches.

The contemporary state of the mathematics study is considered. The reduction of the quality of the training of university entrants for mathematics it is shown. A new training method it is offered. It is shown that the use of the special mathematical software makes better the quality of the training.
