The article discusses the theoretical foundations and historical background of the development of the market of merging and acquisitions, as well as current trends at the global level in the framework of Karl Marx’s theory. The relevance of the issue under study is determined by the trends towards an increase in the value and number of merging and acquisitions transactions and their influence on economic and socio-economic processes. Consideration of the problem from the point of view of Marxism makes it possible to identify the fundamental causes of the global processes of our time.
