The article discusses the possibility of using visual aids as one of the means, which helps students of secondary schools form physical and mathematical ideas. The authors suggest the possible method of introducing the theory of speed, and reveal the degree of its understanding. They prove the need for visual aids in the organization of learning in the form of self-education to help students form a certain system of ideas and their interrelations. A fragment of a workbook is presented, providing the possibility to learn the geometry section independently.
