The article considers the methodology of marginal analysis, gives an assessment of its practical importance in terms of operational management and maintaining the competitiveness of IT companies. The features of EDI and EDM companies-providers are illustrated. The definitions of the main categories of marginal analysis are given. The technology of calculating marginal revenue is described. The author gives an example of making an administrative decision based on the results of a marginal analysis.
