Projection of design objects is the main type of professional activity of designers, the creative almost un-predictable process. The skills of a designer are demanded by the society, when a certain designer at any time and without effort in a short period of time can develop a design object, which can easily be imple-mented in production, which will be in demand by a consumer for a long time and almost without special modifications. Each teacher of design thinks about the ways and methods of teaching the design stages. The author offers a way to get the skills of design based on the simultaneous execution of two tasks with different goals, objectives and method of images.

When students make course works and exercises on designing objects, professional skills in design engineering are forming. The aim of the teacher is to develop methodology for educational technologies, based on the theoretical foundations of design and design using the latest, innovative ways of education. In the article the authors describe the use of competences, obtained during the educational process, on the ex-ample of the mock-up making.
