The article is devoted to the training of future social teachers to implement technology to create a tolerant learning environment. Suggests a possible role play scenario, contributing to the development of a critical attitude to the problem of tolerance in modern society and the educational system.

The paper is dedicated to the issues of design and implementation of the techniques for developing critical thinking in the sphere of competence oriented professional education. The author also suggests possible technological methods for developing the skills, which are connected with critical thinking, among high school students majoring in pedagogy.
