The article is devoted to the urgent problem of teaching English grammar in 5th grade, where traditional methods lead to low motivation and poor learning due to the high motor activity of children aged 10-11 and the digitalization of education. A review of the literature (Vygotsky, Elkonin, Clarin, Passova) emphasizes the role of outdoor games in the zone of proximal development and the communicative approach. Tasks include analyzing the basics, creating 5 games, pilot evaluation, and recommendations.
Lexical units expressing emotions were analyzed using the continuous sampling method from the song album “The Death of Peace of Mind” by the American-Swedish musical group Bad Omens. The found emotionally colored expressions (emotives) were categorized using Robert Plutchik’s “Circle of Emotions” and special indications in dictionaries on the context of use and the available emotional coloring of expressions. Through a sociological survey, the respondents' willingness to use new constructions in their everyday speech was determined.
The article examines the process of transforming the role and status of the English language in the context of a paradigm shift from a unipolar world to a multipolar system of international relations. The author differentiates between the concepts of globalization and Westernization and substantiates the thesis of the emancipation of the English language from its historical native speakers. Special attention is paid to the pragmatic approach of the BRICS countries and the Russian Federation to using English as a neutral communication tool necessary for building a dialogue between new centers of power, as a technical means of ensuring multipolarity, which can be filled with alternative ideological content.
