Currently, educational technologies continue to develop. Distance learning and, in particular, online learning are increasingly being used, as they allow eliminating spatial and temporal barriers, providing access to a large amount of information, opening up new opportunities for students with disabilities, and in the face of the threat of the spread of infections, pandemics, partial or complete the transition to online learning is becoming vital. This article discusses the main historical and modern trends in the development of online technologies and their use in the educational process, assesses the historical aspects and ways of developing online learning and its further improvement.
Modern technologies, including artificial intelligence, are being actively introduced into education, changing traditional teaching methods. They offer personalization, automation of routine tasks, and new interactive formats, but also carry risks such as reduced independence and shallow learning. Surveys show that most students see AI as an assistant, not a substitute for live interaction. The key principle of successful implementation is a reasonable balance between technology and classical pedagogical approaches. The future of education lies in a harmonious combination of digital tools and the human factor.
This article examines the impact of digital technologies on the educational sphere, including the use of distance and online learning in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Particular attention is paid to the development of digital literacy of teachers and students, as well as the benefits and challenges associated with online education. The article provides examples of the use of educational platforms and courses, and also examines issues of social interaction and the psycho-emotional state of students during distance learning.
