The article examines integration as the main approach to modern teaching of Russian as a non-native language, presents an understanding of the concept of "integration", reveals the types of integration, and describes the features of teaching in friendly countries (the Republic of Abkhazia and the Republic of South Ossetia). The article also proves the significance of the integrative approach for developing a holistic understanding of both the Russian language and the native language.
