The classification of types of stylization is given, the sequence of creating a stylized image is described.

The article examines the concept of cognitive interest, presents the results of work on the development of cognitive interest in landscape painting in third-graders in art lessons. The results of the study can be useful for teachers and specialists working with primary school children.
