The article is devoted to the ways of applying a creative approach to teaching a foreign language, taking into account the specifics of the educational institution. The author reveals the essence of the concept of creative approach, which implies four main aspects: creative process, creative product, creative personality and creative environment. On the basis of practical research, the necessity of applying this type of activity in a foreign language lesson is shown.
