This article is devoted to the study of the emotional intelligence of preschool children and the role of emotionally-oriented teaching methods. The relevance of the study is due to the problem of determining the methods of formation of emotional intelligence in children aged 3-7 years in pre-school educational institutions. The article discusses the psychological and pedagogical conditions for the use of emotionally oriented techniques aimed at the purposeful formation of emotional intelligence (emotion recognition, emotion management and empathy). The results of the study allow us to conclude that it is necessary to use emotionally oriented teaching methods in the practice of preschool education.
