The article is devoted to the methods of the basic subject organization in the teaching process of a technical university. The author examines the problem of these disciplines studying relevance, taking into consideration modern two-level approach to education. The content of lectures material, methodology of laboratory works organization, the goals and objectives of home control tasks, different techniques of tests compilation are discussed.
