The experience of holding of a linguistic shift in a Russian children's summer camp is analyzed. The author presents the recommendations according the organization of full-fledged English language training, immersing the child in artificially created language conditions.

The article examines modern aspects of socialization of primary school students in the conditions of a children's camp. The key factors contributing to the process of socialization of children, pedagogical approaches, creation of a health-preserving environment, traditional and innovative technologies are considered. The role of a children's camp as a place where children actively interact is assessed, which contributes to the formation of social skills and emotional intelligence.
