In article dynamics of gross private investments into the USA during 1962 – 2010 is analyzed. Changes of volumes of private investments and private consumer expenses at various stages of the business cycles which had essential impact on economic development of the USA during the considered time period are compared. Change of nature of investment behavior of individuals in the conditions of crisis of the first decade of the XXI century is noted.
