The article considers the main corrosion defects in the barrel channels of aircraft artillery weapons and methods for their elimination.
This article discusses the importance of using anticorrosive protection for tanks, which remains an urgent task both in the construction of new and in the reconstruction of old tanks. Corrosion is a serious threat to the safety and economic efficiency of the oil and gas industry. It is recommended to use the tread protection method, which can reduce the cost of repair and maintenance of the tank, increase its reliability and service life.
This article examines a model for determining the rate of continuous corrosion on the wall of a vertical steel storage tank and its validity. The corrosion rate is estimated based on in-situ data obtained by measuring the wall thickness at the bottom of the tank. The need to determine the corrosion rate accurately is emphasized, depending on the fill height and average annual temperature. This model can be used to predict the service life of storage tanks.
This article focuses on the corrosion and radiation resistance of steels under low-temperature conditions typical of the Yakut Region. A review of existing research demonstrates their limited applicability to Artic Region. The study emphasizes the need for multilevel multiphysics model or model system for integration of the thermal, radiation and corrosion processes to ensure reliable forecasting of steel performance and degradation in extreme northern environments.
