The article assesses the potential of using cultural universals in relation to building intercultural communication of foreign military personnel undergoing training in military universities of the Russian Feder-ation, identifying the features of the use of cultural universals for inculturation of foreign military personnel in the professional and social environment of a military university.
The article examines aspects of intercultural asymmetry and cultural universals in the process of intercultural communication, provides an analysis of examples of intercultural asymmetry and the reasons for its occurrence, the role of cultural universals in the implementation of intercultural dialogue.
The article is devoted to the study of intercultural asymmetry and cultural universals, the verbalization of the semantic unity of the binary concepts of "courage" and "cowardice" in Russian and English paremiology. The study examines proverbs and sayings reflecting folk beliefs about courage and cowardice, their role in human life. The analysis is based on a comparative approach that identifies similarities and differences in the expression of these concepts in two linguistic cultures. The study shows common and specific manifestations in Russian and English languages and cultures and emphasizes the importance of the concepts of "courage" and "cowardice" as important human qualities.
The article considers the concept of «Dream» in the context of intercultural asymmetry and cultural universals, taking into account national specificities and linguistic consciousness of the people. The analysis of how dreams are formed in different cultural contexts, what ideals and values they reflect, was carried out on the basis of Russian, English and German. The concept «Dream» is presented as an internal component of a person, related to the ego’s mental state and moral aspirations. In Russian, English and German it serves as a universal symbol of human aspiration, exploring current questions about the meaning of life, individual and collective identity.
