The article discusses the issues of the problematic teaching method in preparing students for the demonstration exam. Such conditions are created individually for each student at the site of the demonstration exam. The site is equipped with mechatronic stations for sorting parts by color. Trainees are invited to find and eliminate electrical and pneumatic malfunctions of components and their connections using the example of an educational laboratory mechatronic station. Under the guidance of a teacher, students acquire knowledge, skills and practical experience of working in a simulated real professional environment of future specialists of mechatronics technicians.
