Based on the analysis survived in the theatre library, St. Petersburg sketches of costumes by I.A. Vsevolozhsky for the play «Sleeping beauty» (1890) – one of the biggest phenomena of the art of ballet, showing the basic principles of theatre aesthetics of Vsevolozhsky, identifies the characteristics of activities of Vsevolozhsky in the field of scenography, is determined by the typology of theatrical costumes of the artist.
