This article is devoted to the study of the development of the creative abilities of schoolchildren in the process of teaching English. In this paper, attention is drawn to the means of teaching English. Based on the psychological and pedagogical literature, the ways of presenting and criteria for creative tasks in a foreign language are revealed.
