The features of functional damage by ultrahigh frequency radiation to radio-electronic equipment are considered. The types and patterns of malfunction under the influence of electromagnetic radiation are shown. The energy levels of damage to some elements, blocks and nodes of the RES are indicated. The characteristics of several types of generators of powerful electromagnetic radiation operating in the centimeter and millimeter wave ranges are given.
