the article discusses the features of the construction of the railway trackbed in permafrost areas and other difficult conditions, the structure and parameters of embankments, recesses, trenches and ditches, drainage ditches, temporary roads.
This paper presents the results of geocryological monitoring in the ice-rich section of the Tommot – Nizhny Bestyakh Railway where innovative permafrost protection techniques were used. Quantitative assessment of changes in the thermal state of soils in and below the embankments of different designs with thermosyphons and insulation is provided.
