The article is devoted to the problem of the formation of environmental literacy in younger schoolchildren through project activities. The importance of project activity in ensuring the achievement of positive results in environmental education of younger schoolchildren is considered, the pedagogical conditions for its use in teaching the subject "The world around" are determined.
