The article addresses the problem of developing second graders' ability to depict fairy tale characters in the context of primary general education. The content of this ability is considered as integrative education, including analytical, artistic, and technical components. The pedagogical conditions that ensure the effective development of younger students' ability to create an expressive artistic image of a fairy tale character are substantiated: the organization of a developmental material-spatial environment, the integration of literary reading, visual arts, and technology, the use of various artistic techniques, play methods, and elements of dramatization. The results of experimental work are presented, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed set of pedagogical conditions.
