In the center of the authors' attention is the small work “Imperium Romanum”, written by the famous German researcher, Helmut Berveno . According to the content of this pamphlet the problem of the Roman Empire fall and the role of the ancient Germans in this process are shown as the general paradigm of German-Italian convergence in the beginning of 40s of the ХХ century.

The article discusses the features of the work of Soviet psychologists during the Great Patriotic War and after it. The main directions of ongoing psychological research work and their practical importance in helping the victims are investigated. The contribution of psychological science at different stages of the war and the features of the activities of scientists in wartime conditions are analyzed.
