This article is devoted to the consideration of the features of creating an effective educational environment in teaching English as a condition for the formation of sustainable motivation of students. The conditions and methods of pedagogical activity, contributing to the formation of stable motivation of students, are considered. In our opinion, we consider the methods proposed by representatives of the Waldorf School and the Montessori School to be effective ways to increase motivation. Based on the analysis of the literature, we came to the conclusion that the project method provides new opportunities for solving complex methodological problems.
