Today globalization is of particular interest among politicians, economists, and various scholars. Being a geopolitical process, it covers all areas of public life without exception, including economics, political activity, culture, ecology, security, etc. The article considers the main directions of economic globalization, its consequences, as well as the situation of Russia in the context of globalization of the world economy.

The article raises questions of cultural and civilizational changes, evolutionary cycles of the world order and their development. The emerging foundations of the world order and its characteristics are analyzed. A regularity of the evolutionary dynamics of geopolitical transformations through a change in the model range of the world order is proposed. The author's formula of the modern world order is derived.
