The article is devoted to the issues of organizing and conducting an ecological test of winter soft wheat in the conditions of the south of the Rostov region. The authors present the results of two-year trials of new varieties of this crop. A detailed analysis of economic and biological characteristics, yield and grain quality of the studied varieties is given. The most adaptive varieties have been identified, which are characterized by high yield and grain quality and have a complex of economically valuable traits that are recommended for agricultural producers in the southern regions of the country.
The article presents a comparative assessment of winter soft wheat varieties in the conditions of the southern zone of the Rostov region. According to the results of a two-year study, varieties of winter soft wheat have been identified that combine productivity with disease resistance and have high yields and good indicators of product quality and seed sowing properties. An assessment of the economic efficiency of cultivating varieties has been carried out and the conditional net income from their cultivation has been deter-mined. Proposals for agricultural production have been developed.
