This article is devoted to the protection of the Tula land from fascist invaders during the great Patriotic war. The article deals with topical issues of preserving national culture, values and historical memory in modern Russia and the role of television in this process. The connection between public holidays, Days of Military Glory and the program of television channels is analyzed. The question of using the possibilities of television to influence mass psychology for the preservation of the Russian cultural code is investigated. The conclusion is made about the insufficient attention of the editorial offices of some federal TV to patriotic education, information opposition to unscrupulous materials that distort Russian history.

The purpose of the article is to consider the educational potential of V.I. Sukhanov's adventure story "Vanyushkin's Games". The author comes to the conclusion that the story has a pronounced educational character.
