In modern society, a new moral character of a law enforcement officer is being formed, who possesses such qualities as decency, honesty, and justice. The article discusses the need and validity of teaching this discipline for students majoring in "Economic Security". This discipline should be taught in the second year, after studying the basics of psychology and jurisprudence, and help to form the honor and dignity of future specialists.

The article deals with topical issues of the relationship between ethics and law in the Russian military education system.
