The article is devoted to the analysis of the conductor's gesture as a means of interpreting national music. It is emphasized that the gesture belongs to the common markers of national, in particular, musical culture. The realization of the pedagogical potential of the conducting gesture requires the use of the methodological principle of unity of the expressed (content) and its material expression (material design). In the art of conducting and the content of conducting and choral training, the inner content of the artistic image is determined through bodily kinetic expression.
