The article examines the relevance of deepening the content of the educational module "Design Engineering" in the context of professional training of future teachers of labor. The results of a survey of university teachers are presented, demonstrating the high demand for the integration of design education into the teaching of students in pedagogical fields. The pedagogical conditions for the effective implementation of the educational module "Design Engineering" have been identified and substantiated. It is concluded that deepening the content of the module is a priority pedagogical task for the formation of necessary competencies among future teachers of labor.
