Krasnodar region is rich in historical and architectural monuments. There are hundreds of kurgans and kurgan groups, tombs and sites of ancient settlements within its borders, the excavations of which by scientists have not been completed. This article discusses the basic principles of geographic information systems use in order to monitor objects of cultural heritage in the turnover of agricultural land.
