The article discusses various approaches to evaluating large-scale investment projects aimed at creating transport infrastructure. Microeconomic, multicriteria and macroe-conomic approaches are highlighted. The problems of the applicability of these approaches in the current international situation are discussed.

EXPERIENCE OF USING THE NORTHERN SEA ROUTE FOR TRANSPORTING CARGO FROM THE RUSSIAN FAR EAST TO ST. PETERSBURG

This article provides information about the Northern Sea Route, which can now become a worthy replacement for the Suez Canal, as well as a source of income for the Russian Federation. The reasons why a replacement for the Suez Canal may be needed and what the NSR can offer as an alternative sea route are considered in this regard. The first passage of sea vessels along the NSR and future opportunities for the development of this route were also considered.
