The article is devoted to the problems of instability of the capacity of agri-food markets. The study was conducted on statistical materials of the Nizhny Novgorod region on the state of balance of the main food resources. As a result, trends in the dynamics of annual growth rates of agri-food markets capacity in the Nizhny Novgorod region from 2002 to 2021 were highlighted. The results indicate the need to expand measures of state support for the development of agri-food markets.
