Relevance of a question of control of a financial system of the state is for Russia one of priority tasks at the present stage of economic development. In the present article merits and demerits of Bank of Russia as central and at the moment the only regulator of all financial market of the Russian Federation are consid-ered.

The work presents the history of the megaregulator’s creation in the financial market of Russian Federation: its development and further regulation within the framework of the Bank of Russia. The interim results of the improvement of the financial market, as well as the main direc-tions, mechanisms and indicators of its development for the period up to 2030 are considered.
