The article is devoted to the examination of the methodological approaches to ensuring the quality of edu-cation in the conditions of the establishment of the new federal educational standards. It gives the defini-tions of the meta-subject educational results ensuring the making up of personality. It shows the different points of view on the notion « meta-predicates» and the role of the regional ethnography in the formation of the meta-subject educational results in education.
The article discusses the methodological conditions for the formation of functional mathematical literacy of students, describes methodological approaches to the formation of mathematical literacy of students through solving contextual problems.
