The article presents materials on the study of literary monuments of Old English poetry, of Junius Manuscript, of The Exeter Book, of The Vercelli Book, etc. as well as methodological recommendations that allow you to include information about this period in the course «Literatures of the country of the language being studied». The author prefers factual summaries, rather than their criticism and evaluation, an inventory of the creative heritage of the most outstanding authors; the individual plots of the works under consideration are briefly revealed.
