The relevance of the provisions considered in the article is due to the specifics of patriotic education of students of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation as future representatives of the army and Navy officer corps. In the article, the authors consider the main military-patriotic aspects of the training of military (aviation) specialists based on the historical military traditions of our people, which are currently relevant in their opinion.

The article reveals the connection and continuity of the main tactical principles formed by A.V. Suvorov with modern principles of tactics used in combined arms combat. The possibility of their use is analyzed on the example on the ongoing research in the fight against tactical robotic systems of a potential enemy.

In the context of modern geopolitical changes and the increasing role of aviation in ensuring national security, the formation of patriotism among aviation specialists upon arrival at a new duty station is of particular importance. In recent years, there has been an active rotation of aviation personnel in connection with the reorganization of the armed forces and the introduction of new technologies. For example, in 2021, large-scale movements of aviation units to strategically important regions were carried out, which required rapid adaptation and high motivation from specialists. These processes are accompanied not only by professional, but also by socio-psychological challenges that require strengthening patriotic values to maintain combat capability and morale of personnel.
