This paper deals with an individual educational route mechanisms and its applicability in the educational process. The authors carries out a comparative analysis of the theoretical aspects of the issue, highlights the main advantages and disadvantages of the principles of an individual educational path. It is proved, that the implementation of an individual educational route technic into higher education process is one of the effective innovative teaching methods.
