The article highlights the peculiarities of text reproduction technique in the middle school foreign language classroom. The authors regard this technique as a means of monologue skills development on two levels. First, school students learn to reproduce texts perceived through reading or listening. Then, they use these skills in new contexts to transmit the content of their own texts which they create in their project work.
