the article deals with the process of digitalization in tertiary education in Russia. The official documents adopted by the government are considered. The foresight prognosis and perspectives of digital approach are presented. The results of implementation of digital technologies in Petrozavodsk State university are summarized. The conclusion suggest an optimal use of digital technologies.
