The article discusses the problems of the situation of persons of pre-retirement age in the modern labor market in the light of changes in pension legislation. The results of the survey of persons of pre-retirement age regarding their position in the field of employment, the demand for employment center services and employment prospects are being conducted. The obtained data are compared with the analysis of the opinion of specialists of the employment center on employment and unemployment among pre-retirees. Recommendations are proposed to help solve the problems of unemployment and employment of persons of pre-retirement age through the help of employment centers.

This article analyzes the legal regulation of employment of citizens of pre-retirement age in the Republic of Belarus. The author examines the norms of domestic and foreign legislation in this area, identifies the general and particular approaches of the standard-setters. Based on the conducted research, directions have been developed for further improvement of the Belarusian legislation in this direction.
