The article talks about a cycle of pieces for piano by the famous Soviet Ukrainian composer Igor Shamo. An analysis of the programming of plays with some performance features is carried out.
The article is devoted to the genre of the piano cycle and its interpretation in the works of Nikolai Berestov. The author of the article substantiates the importance of this genre in the composer's work. In different periods, it was the piano cycle that often became Berestov's creative laboratory. The increased attention to the genre of the program cycle of miniatures is explained by the very type of Berestov's musical thinking, which is expressed in the desire to embody portrait sketches. The article analyzes piano cycles from the point of view of musical content, stylistic and genre parameters, dramaturgy and composition, features of musical language.
