The semantics of the key lexeme "light" in a poetic context is revealed based on the material of Konstantin Vanshenkin's collection of lyrics "Turns of Light" (Moscow, 1965). Special attention is paid to the metaphorical increment of meanings to the dictionary meanings of a given word and its homonym, the implementation of its paradigmatic, syntagmatic, word-formation connections in the text.
Dictionaries of the modern Russian language reflect the instability of the semantic structure of the word "hairstyle." The article reveals the nature of the word's polysemy, taking into account its functioning in speech, and examines the intralinguistic and extralinguistic factors that influence its semantic mobility.
This article analyzes the meanings of verbs of intellectual activity with the initial semantics of the digestive process. Methods for transferring the meanings of a specific action to the thought process are identified. A conclusion is drawn regarding the existence of a linguistic model for the formation of the semantics of intellectual activity based on the initial meanings of the digestive process.
